In 2016, we launched School of Hard Knocks, bringing our people together to talk about issues we face on the harbor and developing leadership skills. We hosted our first regional event in May 2016, The State of the Streets, where people experiencing poverty shared about what we face here on the harbor.

We explore the big issues that face our community: poverty, police violence, lack of opportunity for young people, racism. We seek to connect our people across lines of difference and with other poor leaders around the country and world.
